Astoria, Oregon
Just up the street from the inn is the Cathedral Tree trail, a wonderful walk leading to a giant spruce. For the more adventurous you can continue into the woods and hike to the Astoria Column. The Column is one of Astoria's famous landmarks erected in 1926 depicting the westward movement of discovery in a pictorial frieze, or you can choose to drive. Either way it is a must see because of the beautiful panoramic views of oceans, rivers and mountains.
